Team Lead Network Engineering (m/f/d)
Join the team that keeps EOS connected, secure, and ready to scale. As Team Lead Network Engineering, you will lead an international team of six Network Engineers, shape the technical direction of our multi-region AWS network infrastructure, and set the standards for secure, scalable, and cost-efficient operations. Working closely with Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership to drive innovation, develop your team, and turn strategic goals into reliable network solutions.
This is the job
- As the leader of an international team of six Network Engineers, you set the technical direction, priorities, and quality standards while staying close to the technology yourself.
- Ownership covers the design, evolution, and operation of our multi-region AWS network infrastructure, as well as the technical roadmap that keeps it secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
- Through regular 1:1s, coaching, and clear growth paths, you develop your engineers and take responsibility for hiring, onboarding, and performance across the team.
- Standardized processes for deploying, operating, and troubleshooting the cloud network are established and enforced, covering IaC, change management, and incident response.
- As the team’s representative toward Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders, you translate strategic goals into an executable technical plan.
This is what you bring to the table
- At least 8 years of professional experience as a Cloud, Infrastructure, or Network Engineer in enterprise environments, including several years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven people leadership experience, ideally gained while leading a distributed, international engineering team of five or more, combined with confidence in owning hiring, development, and performance conversations.
- A hands-on mindset, with deep AWS networking expertise and a solid grasp of enterprise networking protocols such as BGP, IPSec, SD-WAN, and L2/L3.
- Infrastructure management through IaC, for example Terraform, as well as a strong preference for automation over manual work and high standards for engineering practices within the team.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls, such as Fortinet, and cloud security best practices, including VPN and access controls, rounds out your profile.
- Confident communication in English across time zones and cultures, along with a genuine interest in building a high-trust, high-ownership team culture.
